Aims and Objectives
The Aim of the youth / play project is to provide young people aged 5-12 and 13-19 in the local area of Keighley a safe, enjoyable, productive, social place to meet and participate in activities.
Our youth centre provides open access and structured sessions in a youth friendly environment based within the AlHikmah School building.
The AlHikmah School Project tackles these social problems head on by working with the young people in the town andbreaking down the barriers of gangs, and intervening before young people become involved in negative behaviour. The most affective method is to provide a space where young people can meet up and socialise together without the âstreet influencesâ around them. By promoting friendship and unity in our youth sessions we are establishing a bond amongst the youths who we work with.
